Mike,

downloaded and installed the below but when I choose it from
the applications menu it gives me a list of what program I
want to open the file with rather than copying the path name
to the clipboard and then pasting where I want it. The
program also does not appear in the add/remove program list
in control panel. How would one remove it if it is not going
to work right?

thanks
Al

Hi Alan & Terri

Here is the direct download link for the program that is
being referred to.

Hope this helps. Take care.
Mike

I have a program on the server called copy path that will
do exactly what
you are asking for. I wouldn't be without it myself.

Subject: [Blind-Computing] Copying file path name

  Good morning,

I was recently using the search for files & folders on my
XP
machine with JAWS 11 (don't think the version is relevant
but listed it anyway) The file I was looking for was
located
in a directory with a very long path name to it's
location.
Part of it sounded like it may be cut off due to it's
length. Is there a way to copy that pathname and then
paste
it into notepad and read the entire thing or save for
future
  reference?

  thanks
  Al
