Hi Debbie, Can you get someone to look at the machine and see what it wants? My hope is that it's just doing a giant chkdsk because of the improper shutdown and that it will eventually come back by itself, even if it takes an hour or so. Of course that depends on the drive and the speed of the machine. The other thing you could try is to make an Xp boot diskette on another machine and boot from that just in case one of the boot files is damaged. This isn't likely but worth a try. The best thing at this point is to get someone to tell you what's on screen.
