Hi Debbie, Maybe this will save you some money. Let the darned thing try to boot and hit enter every once in a while and give it an hour or so to see if it comes back. Also there is a boot menu which you can access by hitting F8 repeatedly after you turn on the machine. If you have a floppy drive you want to hit it right around the time the machine tests your floppy disk. Hitting F8 repeatedly will do no harm. If you are lucky enough to get this menu to come up, press the number 1 on the numrow and then press enter.] This will force the machine to boot normally in case it has gone into Safe Mode for some unknown reason. If that fails, the boot disk idea I outlined in an earlier message may work given that you at least have another machine handy from which you can make that startup disk.
