Hi. Thanks but changing that verbosity setting didn't help. It looks like this may be a hard nut to crack. Hopefully the JAWS 11 upgrade won't do it, assuming it is JAWS that is the problem, then I won't have to worry about it anymore. At least it's only when I'm in spell-check. Strange that it's happening on one computer but not the other and they both have JAWS 10 and Word 2003. Ah well. Thanks again for trying.

It's description tells you it decides if non breaking characters should be described as such during reading all, or only by character etc. This is in my combo of jaws 10.xxx and office 2003 at the moment.
