Hi Lino! Thanks so much for the offer of help but I think I'll just exchange this for another model. I've been through all the different speaker, sound, driver, and power settings but the intermittent crackling is still there. It is really a driver issue but I don't think I'm willing to wait for a fix. Too bad cause the specs on this laptop is really great.
