Subject: [Blind-Computing] Sluggish Google Home Page Loading

Hi listers. Normally, when I launch IE 7, my Google home
page loads instantly, and I can enter a search term in the
Search field right away. But lately, for no apparent
reason, Google seems to sometimes hang when I launch IE or
try to return to the home page after a search. JAWS
announces the progress bar as "2%..10%..17%.. until it
reaches 38%, which takes about 2 minutes, at which point the
progress bar announcements stop and the Google home page
does not finish loading. The same thing happens using
Firefox and IE with all add-ons disabled. Running numerous
malware and registry scans hasn't help. The only thing that
restores the Google home page to its normal snappy loading
is to reboot my PC. I'm using IE 7 with JAWS 9 and XP Pro
with Verizon DSL. Any ideas what might be causing this
sporadically sluggishh Google home page loading?

Gerald
