For the first question, visit,

As for the second question,
simply turning off the refresh announcement, would not stop the page from 
refreshing.
However, you can set Jaws to suppress all refreshes, keeping in mind if you 
need to refresh the page, you will have to do it manually.
My guess is that you might be able to  change the refresh behavior, in the 
same area
of IE as described in the above mentioned article.

hi rick i did try this i am using ie 6 but it still keeps asking me re the
secure items
also is there a way to turn off the web page saying
this page will refresh in 60 seconds?
