The kindel pc software is free. Of course, the downloads aren't but that's ok. Personally, I think it's time for the proliferation of proprietary book readers to somehow get together. AUdible.com books won't play on the kindel, etc. and on and on. It seems to me that the Victor REader Stream could be modified so that we could play kindel books on it. AT least, Amazon would be able to sell the book downloads. marilyn
