Hi,
I had a question for this. Before I recover my system I was able on some
sites press play, pause, stop in flash movies.
But now it's tell to me only flash movie start and flash movie end and I
don't know what to do. I'm having flash installed version 9 and 10, but..
Using XP Pro SP3 and jaws from 9 to 11. version.
With best regards,
Marek Durila

I wish I had a better answer! Deploying sites with Flash, even when no
audio or video is involved, is getting very popular. Flash is very
difficult for any screen reader. In some cases it is impossible for screen
readers, no matter what they do. Even the tracking of the JAWS cursor
(mouse) to follow the PC cursor (focus) does not always work properly.
Flash
takes over control in many cases. In my opinion, Freedom Scientific does
not seem interested in resolving Flash problems. Because of its popularity
and major companies like Google developing "applications" in the cloud,
this
will be critical! Adobe made it easier to make Flash accessible last year
with the release of CS4. It makes many controls like play, pause,
volume...
accessible almost automatically. It is still up to the developer to add
the
access information and sometimes add a little code. Within Flash
professional CS4, each control has an accessibility panel to add the
necessary information. Most of the time developers do not consider
accessibility when putting together a web site. So make sure that you let
them know there is an issue. try to be specific about which controls are
not working. Perhaps you can direct them to Adobe's resources at:
http://www.adobe.com/accessibility/products/flash/tutorial/.
