Hmmm, I was hoping to give you a chance to read your newly created file here in Excel that you just made, since you said you would try to find another format to save it to than Excel. Also, you can press the jaws key and H while in Excel to hear a variety of other jaws key functionality for Excel. A tip on this key combo is, it also gives other jaws keys to use for other applications, it's not just for Excel.

Good luck with your project...

Hi Patricia,

Thank you for the beginner keystrokes for navigating Excel. I know it is a
program that I should learn to navigate but, I just haven't found a need
forit. As they say, Necessity will hasten motivation or something like
that. Thanks again, take care.

Mike,

You don't use Excel?
Excel works very easy without having to set anything up in the program.
You can either tab across the row from one cell to the next, or you can use
the right/left arrow keys. Jaws key and #8 reads the current line, up/down
arrow moves you in that direction and Jaws says what it's landing on.
Of course there are more keys to do more things within Excel, but just for
reading something, these keys do the job just fine.
I've never had any problems using Excel starting with Jaws 3.7 and Excel
2000, I currently use 2003 and can't tell any difference.
If your unsure as to what Excel looks like, think of it as a grid pattern,
with horizontal and vertical lines.
You can save an Excel spreadsheet into Word, but it will turn it into
columns and tables. Which basically is like Excel except the navigation keys
are much different.

Hi Negoslav,

Thank you very much for this information. Your steps worked great. I
will
do some tinkering with them to see if I can save the Address Book as a
different file other than an Excel file. Thanks again. This works
totally
cool. Take care.

Hi All,

Does anyone know of a program that will convert a " .WAB " file into a
text
file, or if it is even possible to do so? I would like to convert my
Outlook Express address book into a text file if possible. I am running
XP3
Home, Office Home, Jaws 10 & 11 latest All help will be greatly
appreciated. Thanks much. Take care.
Mike
