Hi Tom,

Okay, I'll have to try that.

I'm hoping it's not a memory issue, because I have 2 Gigs in my computer.

Thanks and take care.

Debbie

One way to approach this is to Google the precise error message, and see
if a solution is available.
I had an error message with Open Book after some memory problems that
required me to reload Windows XP.
When I Googled the error message it took me to the Microsoft site, where
I found a detailed solution.
Blessigns,
Tom

Hi all,

I'm currently using Openbook 7.0, HP Photo Smart C4600, Jaws 10.0,
Windows
XP Home Edition and a Dell Laptop.

Here's the problem: When I go into Openbook and scan a document, my

computer freezes up on me. I get a Microsoft error message, but I
can't
remember verbatim what it says. I know it gives me the choices to
either
send or don't send the error message.

I can't do anything on the computer when this happens.

I called Freedom Scientific and they thought it had something to do
with
"Fax Man." I don't know what that is, but they told me where to go
to turn
it off, but it wasn't in the list under the service tab in
administrative
tools .

Is anyone familiar with this? If so, can you tell me what to do
here?

Thanks.

Debbie, owner of Anxiety Depression support group.
