Hi,
I'm having a few comments:
1. When I'm in the control panel, there is one button when I press
space-bar there menu is open and I switch icons or something like this and
all possibility are as a before in win XP, til, when you'll not close
control panel.
2. I'm having problem with jaws 10 or 11, when i Pres to the folders and
Pres some letter of some folder will tell before the name of the folder not
selected, what is really stupid.
3. Most of the time will stop explorer working and after a few seconds I
receive, that server isn't answering, but if I wanted before to the
computer folder, I'm there.
With best regards,
Marek Durila

I agree that Windows 7 has many difficult changes and if my new laptop did
not have the numberpad built in I might have given up and gone back to my
XP
laptop. I have finally gotten used to the start menu and I agree that
the new control panel is the pits. Mostly I have to use the search box and
put in the name of the old control panel to see where it is hiding.
The hardest thing to deal with is the way folders are displayed. With my XP
laptop I never used Windows Explorer with the stupid tree view. I always
just stored everything in folders and navigated that way. Now you have to
tab many times to get to a list view but at least the first letter
navigation does work there. Previously I always moved files by using cut
and
paste and that does work to some extent but sometimes when I go to delete a
file or folder that was previously moved or copied it will say that I can't
because the file can't be found. So especially in the Library folders I
resort to the "Move to folder..." and deal with the stupid tree view to
avoid losing the files.
I have made some progress with the email, however.
After much agonizing I finally got Windows Live Mail set so that it is
reasonably usable and almost as good as Outlook Express. I managed to
import
all my old mail and address books and get it to do pretty much what I want
it to do. The main thing it lacks is first letter navigation but I sort of
work around that.
If anyone is interested I can try to write down how my settings are set and
how I use various folders to navigate and such.
By the way I did install the 7.whatever version of Eudora on my Win 7 64
bit
laptop and by replacing the Eudora data folder with my Eudora data folder
from my old laptop I was able to access all my saved mail. I used Eudora
for years until I started using Gmail as an alternate email and I could not
figure out how to add another personality or set up the Gmail configuration
on Eudora. The main thing I don't like about Eudora is that when it opens
an email all the headers show and it does not always start reading
automatically and when it does it can't always find the end of the headers
to know where to start.
The version with ads is free and works fine since with a screen reader you
never even know the ads are there and the junk filtering is unnecessary
since most providers scan the email anyway.
I did download the Thunderbird and sent a test message that went but
couldn't figure out intuitively what to do so I am not using it.
I would have chosen to try Outlook but the Office 2007 I have does not
include Outlook and since I am having pretty good luck with the WLM I don't
want to put out the money for Outlook at this time
