I do not have a Netbook yet, but I would definitely add the extra 1 GB RAM!
As I understand it, either Microsoft or Intel or both require retailers to
only sell Netbooks with 1 GB. It is, however, recommended and advisable to
upgrade to 2 GB if possible. If you want to run virtualization, I would
think it is almost a requirement!

Could very well be the case. Either way adding more memory will let you do
more tasks because you will have enough memory to fall back on. Oh, by the
way,how does windows starter differ from the regular windows? I have
regular
retail version of windows 7 32 bit installed on my netbook, which works
great.

I wonder if the sluggishness is because 7 is having to swap memory,
which wouldn't be the case if I upgraded? Jut a thought.
