Hi Steve,
Of course, make sure it is plugged in and on,
and look at which scanners show as available within Openbook.
It may show up as one that isn't real ovvious.
I had an HP all-in-one once that had a document feeder,
and that is the only one that Openbook would use,
although the machine showed up as 2 different scanners.
You might try asking on the Openbook list,on this domain,
and see if anyone there has any more suggestions.
HTH,
Rick Justice

Subject: [Blind-Computing] Nee some help with my HP Deskjet F2400
PrinterPlease

    Hello friends and season greetings to all;
I purchased an HP printer some weeks ago, and installed it. Its an
all-in-one. Everything seems to be working, but can't seem to get it to
scan. I admit that I am not doing what I should do, but I saw no additional
software while browsing the CD for any additional software that would allow
the machine to scan. Previously I used a Benq scanner and all worked well,
but can't seem to get Kurzweil or openbook to recognize this new scanner.
Any help from you all would be appreciated with lots of gratitude.
Thanks to all in advance for your valuable help
Regards,
Remember, seven days WITHOUT GOD... Makes one weak!!!
Steve Boodram.
