Other points which ought to be discussed more freely. There are still those
who are afraid to send e-mail in any other formats other than plain text
because they are afraid of virus attacks. Though this was true several
years ago, it is not now true if one keeps one's virus protection up to date
with a reputable virus protector. Also, people still don't leave their
preview panes open for the same reason. No one mentions others do both keep
their preview panes open and send e-mail in other formats with no adverse
effects. Some, no doubt, think there might be no other method of doing a
thing relating to computers other than that which is most popular. I am not
saying my way of doing things is better, but, rather, others are successful
doing them my way. I being one. If lively discussions are discouraged, how
are they to know others are successful using these alternative methods?

Sorry, but, I have heard the argument one absolutely must have a land
line in many forums. Many blind and elderly are on fixed incomes, and
must parcel out their funds. Should the other side not be brought up
because doing so might be called debating? While discussing this topic
no one has flamed another. I just thought we were pointing out different
aspects of the advantages and the disadvantages of this particular
product. I really don't care one way or other. You can just keep your
land lines. Or pay vonage 20 dollars a month or there about. But,
adjustments can be made to not having a land line and not having a land
line ought to be considered as a viable choice. Rather than to be
scoffed at because it is unorthodox.

OK let's tone down the debate folks. Things are starting to get a bit
adversarial.
