Hi Jacob;

Thank you for this. I screwed up by searching for " octal digit " instead
of " octal arithmetic ". Take care.

  Hi Bill'

  Would you please explain what an " octal digit " is? I have searched
  Wikipedia and a couple of other places and I'm having no luck. I have
never
  heard of this term before, that I recall anyway. Thanks much. Take care.

    Remember that when a number begins with a zero (0) that indicates an
octal
    digit.
