Couple of things could be wrong.  (1) Some players need to turned on
before the computer can recognize them.  (2) You are not making a good
connection either with the unit or the computer.  Try another USB port
or even another cable.  (3) Your unit could be defective.  (4) The
auto run is not being fired but the dirve is there and accessible.  In
that case browse for it in windows explorer under your computer.

I have an external mp3 player. It is one of those that plugs in via USB and uses the computer to charge it self How ever I can not transfer songs on to it. Usually once you plug in the computer is supposed to see it as another drive. Is this not the case? Should I wait until it finishes charging? I am running XP pro and jaws 9.
