Hi David,
I truly understand about your worrying about people losing their data.
I recall several years before I ran in to these E-Mail lists, that I tried a
file shredder utility. Well, I mist one setting and promptly shredded my
desktop. That was not much fun.
Right now what I am needing to do is wipe an old hard drive before it
goes out in the trash. Any recommendations for a program? If you would like
you could E-Mail me off list.

None of them will wipe your drive like a utility designed for that
purpose.
I did have some up there but decided to pull them down for fear somebody
would destroy their data and get all up in my face about it.
