Hi Barbara.
You need to go to the JAWS configuration manager with Insert-6, then
control/shift D for the default, then alt S for settings and then arrow
down
to "text processing" and hit enter. Tab to numeric date processing. Here
you will find three radial buttons. Be sure the first one which is "no
translation" is selected and then tab to the OK button. You then do an
alt
F4 and answer "yes" to keep changes.

Subject: [Blind-Computing] changing to fractions
Hi, I thought I would ask again as maybe I wasn't clear as to my problem.
My
jaws is pronouncing any fraction as the month and day of the year. I type
for, 1 slash 2 and it says January 2 instead of the fraction. I have jaws
9
and Win XP. Thanks for any help. Barbara
