[Blind-Computing] changing to fractions

Hi, I thought I would ask again as maybe I wasn't clear as to my problem. My 
jaws is pronouncing any fraction as the month and day of the year. I type for, 
1 slash 2 and it says January 2 instead of the fraction. I have jaws 9 and Win 
XP. Thanks for any help.  Barbara
