Don't have all the notes on hand but check back a month or
two in the archives because I know this topic was discussed
extensively. Some folks have had no problems and some many.
I do know Avast offers a special removal tool but it does
require some sighted assistance because you do need to
reboot into safe mode. I was able to remove from all 3 of my
machines without the tool. Keep us posted

Hello all,
I'm trying to remove avast from my computer by going
through control panel. It won't let me remove the program! I
have a constant pop-up window now that says my avast
licensing agreement has expired. It's expired because I shut
it off and installed a different anti-viris program. This is
driving me crazy! Please help. I just can't figure out how
to remove it.
