If you have Microsoft Word you may also be interested in the Microsoft Word 2007 add-in "Open XML to DAISY XML Translator." This lets you turn Word 2007 documents into DAISY books by choosing "Save As" from the Word 2007 file menu.
http://downloads.sourceforge.net/project/openxml-daisy/DAISY%20Translator%20Source%20Code/Release%202.1.1.jp/DaisyTranslator-2.1.1.jp.1.zip?use_mirror=ovh or http://sourceforge.net/projects/openxml-daisy/ If you save as DAISY with MP3 then the add-in uses your system default voice, so change the voice in Speech in Control Panel. And up the output quality to 44kHz for a much better-sounding voice. (Note that you must have permission from the voice vendor if you want to redistribute DAISY books made with a particular voice, and the MP3 production uses the LAME encoder which may not be compliant with your local patent regime.) -- Alasdair King WebbIE On Thu, May 27, 2010 at 11:24 PM, David Ferrin <[email protected]> wrote: > Sounds reasonable to me, go ahead.
