I found some notes that might be of some help to you on this subject.  Give 
them a try and see how they work.

I am using XP and Win Xp word. I tried all your suggestions, with no
success. Is ther a Jaws setting that could be over-riding. I even tried
"Past as hyperlink", but I get no paste at all, yet I can just "Past" or
CTRL+v and the URl will paste, but no link.
