Subject: [Blind-Computing] Need help creating a home office network?

  Hello Listers,

I have been trying to create a home office network. But it's isn't working
  like I thought it would.

Will some one please tell me stet by step, just how to create a home
network? I have Vista Ultimate on both notebook and PC.

I did know to put the same workgroup name on both computers. Because I'm
using vista, I got my brother to make sure that printer sharing is on, files
sharing is on, I don't want password sharing on so that is off.

I forget the exact wording, but we set both machines to be able to find each
other, and thay are? But when I find the other unit, I can't get in to it.
In other words both computers are seeing each other however, I can not get
  in to them.

The PC will find the notebook, and the Notebook will find the PC

I need help here, I've been trying to get this done for quite awhile now.

If there's a tutorial, or documents, some kind of instructions, tell me
where and how to get them and I will do so right away, I need this network
  for my office immediately.

  Thanks to all!

  Carliss

I really do believe that someone out there have done networking with Vista
even though windows7 is so much easier to work with.
