I thought that would help. However, the McAfee programme on my computer was
configured so that the items in the sent items folder would be deleted at 4
a.m. on Mondays. That feature has now been unchecked and everything is
working well again.

Hi Francis
Just go to Tools.
Select Options.
From the property sheet that appears, press control+Tab and switch to the
"Send" page.
Here tab once you wil find a field labelled "Keep a copy of sent items in
my 'sent' folder": make sure it is checked.
Once you check this one, click okay. your problem will disappear once and
forever.
Cheers,
Ishe

Subject: [Blind-Computing] Messages deleted from the "sent items" folder
I hope someone will be able to help me with this vexing problem. For a
couple of weeks now, I have noticed that copies of messages I have sent
are deleted from the "sent items" folder on my computer and I can't find
out why this is happening. Normally, I would keep messages in that folder
for about five or six months and then delete those messages that I don't
want. Now, all messages are deleted after about five days so, what can I
do to correct this problem. I am using Outlook Express Version 6.
What should I check or uncheck and where I go to do this.
