Hi Anna;

Thank you for the great hope but, not in this case. I am going to have a
technician look at it. When it starts it is stuck in the Bios mode. Take
care.
Mike

Hi All;

I am running XPSP3 Pro & Jaws 10 on this machine. After assigning Notepad
to open .txt files and Outlook Express to open .eml files some strange
things happened. First, when I tried to open an .eml file, when I would
press enter it would take me back to my Inbox. I thought after making these
changes I had better reboot and that is where it really got strange. I gave
the computer the commands to restart and it wouldn't, then I did a hard
shutdown, and when the computer shuts down there is a ticking sound coming
from the computer, like a clock ticking. When I try to start it up a screen
comes up showing the computer specs and a message to " press DEL to enter
SETUP ." This doesn't do anything. I plugged in a USB mouse so my wife
could possibly click on " DEL " but, the mouse doesn't seem to work either.
I tried to start it in safe mode and it comes up with the same screen that
gives all the computer specs like what kind of RAM, processor speed, and
things like that. Oh, and that message to "press DEL to enterSETUP ". Does
anyone have any ideas on what I can do to get Windows started? All help
will be greatly appreciated. Thanks much. Take care.
Mike
