It is, and much more. I have The bx moddle, and I love it. There many
things
that make it surpass the brail and speak. It has pockit Jaws on it for
voice
output, and braildisplay that is remooviable to conect with your computer.
It also sinks with the computer like a pompilit.
Look on there websight for the leenk for products and the newone is the
Packmate omney which I don't have one of those.
Good luck

From what I know, it is. I don't know much about the Pac Mate.

Subject: [Blind-Computing] Information about the Braille 'n Speak
Does anybody remember the Braille 'n Speak which was manufactured by
Blazie? Freedom Scientific acquired Blazie so I am wondering whether the
Packmate is is an up to date version of the Braille 'n Speak.
Any information would be appreciated as i can't find any information of
what the packmate does.
