Well, then, really don't know what's going wrong, unless it's something
wrong with that specific DVD - have you tried others?
In VLC media player, while have only tried it on movie DVDs so far, when I
tell it to play one, the default menu screen comes up (generally just some
repetitive sounds), but when I choose navigation menu, titles, and then
choose something like title 1, the movie starts playing.
Stay well

I was speaking of a player called media classic. However, I've installed
the BLC player and get the same result when I go to navigation and try
selecting a title.

In VLC media player, you would most likely just go to navigation menu,
open
select title sub menu, and there choose episodes/chapters, but not too
sure
which piece of software you're trying to make use of?

I like this program very much. I am, however, having a few problems. I
hope someone here can help.
I'm working with a DVD which is a season of episodes. When I open the
DVD,
there's a part which plays continuously at the beginning. When I try
using
the jump to feature to a particular episode, I find everything is
disabled,
including the alt pg up and alt pg down. I looked through the options to
find anything I might change, but to no avail. I also can't find any
documentation for the current version.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Kim,
Only a few hours ago, i sent a brief review about a program i use to
play my DVDs and files. I hope it will work for you. If you haven't got
the message I sent this very morning, here is a copy of it below! Good
luck!
Hi all,
As promised, here is a program that is a great alternative for
RealPlayer. It is pretty accessible and can play too many formats. The
program is called
K-Lite Mega Codec
I just wanted to add something that i forgot to mention in my previous
E-mail. When you launche the program, some versions of jaws will start
chattering nonstop. That's because Jaws captures the slider that shows
the time and starts reading it. You just need to modify jaws behavior by
setting the screen echo to none in stead of highlighted for this
particular application.
The link will be available only for 5 days, I then can resend it if any
one needs it:
Click here to download K-Lite mega codec!

Follows some useful keystrokes:
SpaceBar = Play/pause
Period = stop
Control+Right arrow = Forward 5 seconds
Control+Left arrow = rewind 5 seconds
Up Arrow = increase volume
Down arrow = decrease volume
Control+m = mute
Control+Q = quick open
Control+O = open
Control+D = open DVD
Control+C = close open file or files
Control+5 = toggles the status bar
JawsKey+PageDown = read status bar, "it contains info about the file's
duration, the elapsed time and the active control".
O = program options
Good luck!
