I'm using a commercial DVD so the player should support the file format.
This happens with both the media classic player and the VLC player.

Hi folks,

If everything is unavailable, that means either no file is open or the
file format is not supported. I am having no problems here as long as
the format is supported. Just play with it a bit longer, you'll
certainly get a way to manipulate it. Try opening popular formats such
as MP3 and get familiarized with it first before trying DVDs and other
formats.
