For the record, the menus can be read by both system access and nvda.  I
tried it with JAWS and it was useless.  I'm guessing it has to do with
however JAWS right clicks.  As far as I know the only thing  you can do from
the context menu with JAWS is to open the interface.

Just my three cents worth.

well, it sounds like when you installed the new avast program update, and
went to system tray to access the avast,
you have lost all focus with jaws.

I just got a similar message from a friend, stating the exact behavior.
Now I'm not saying this is the case with all computers, however, this is
what I've experienced with a friend.
I helped him remove avast, and installed, MSE.

note, however,
if you want to access avast,
you can do this from the desktop,
and do your updates from their.
or, change settings, etc.
