[Blind-Computing] How to stop Netflicks pop-ups

Hello all. For the past several weeks it seems as though Netflicks adds show up 
even when I'm either at my home page or surfing the web. I'm not even sure if 
this is really a pop-up ad but don't know what else to call it. How can I stop 
this annoying ad from appearing? Any suggestions are welcome.
