Thanks for the information. I could try NVDA Version 10.1. There is a beta
version of 10.2 but I haven't checked it out yet.

Hi, Francis,
I visited that program and they really haven't done any improvements to
thunder as far as I can see.

I use JAWS now but when Thunder was around at the beginning, I couldn't
understand what it was all about. At this time, I could revisit that
program and check it out.

Hi, Francis,
Thanks very much for the tip. I forgot about mike's radio world. I'll
log
on to the site and see what interesting stations I can find. Do you use
Jaws or Thunder? I heard web IE works great with thunder.

When I realized that Webbie needs a bit more work as far as listening
to
the
radio component, I simply logged in to Mikesradioworld.com and looked
for
the stations I wanted to hear. There are lots of stations from the
USA,
the
United Kingdom and Australia. For example, I listen to KING 981 from
Washington State as I like classic music or I can listen to any of the
NPR
stations.

Hi, Francis,
How do you access them if the radio won't work?

I tried it yesterday and it won't work. Fortunaately, I can access
all
of
the BBC radio streams as well as those from the USA and they are easy
to
access.

Subject: [Blind-Computing] opening the radio in web IE
Hi, everyone,
I wanted to check out the radio that's in web IE but I can't get it
to
open. I hit enter on it like you would in other programs but nothing
happened. Is there a certain way to open the radio so you can select
a
station?
Any help will be very graciously accepted and appreciated.
Many thanks in advance.
Rosemarie
