I know that the scripts work well with JAWS 10, 11 and 12, because they
were developed under those versions. All of the functions used have been
available since JAWS 6.0, so most likely would work going that far back.
However, some of the function calls interact directly with the webpage DOM,
so I would not want to bet that Freedom Scientific or really old versions
of Internet Explorer / Firefox would work properly.

Hi Don,
Which version of Jaws did you write the scripts for?
Thanks,

Will the NFB Newsline website have listings for your area?
I use www.titantv.com for my TV listings. It is very customizable and
displays the time grid in a true HTML table. This allows you to
navigate using the JAWS table navigation hotkeys. In general, they are
Alt + Control + Arrow keys. It can be set to view up to 6 hours at a
time.
I have a DirecTV DVR which can be programmed from a website. I have
written JAWS scripts to make it easier to go through the TitanTV
listings. Basically, it provides a table navigation mode that allows
just using the arrow keys to move around like a spreadsheet. The time
and channel titles are announced as you move through the table. Then
with a hotkey, it will start the DirecTV website and perform a search
for the show you are on so it can easily be recorded.
I realize not many people have DirecTV, but I use the table mode a lot
on large HTML tables on many sites. My scripts are at:

My problem with NFB Newsline is that ours will discontinue on October
1. This has been the only place I can get accessible listings, and it
was available by phone so I called and used it a lot. But with it
discontinuing in my area, I wonder if they'll at least have it
available to everyone online. It's just so hard to find a good TV
guide online, so I understand this frustration and welcome all ideas.

I use nfb newsline web news on demmand. They have a tv listings
section. Once you set up all of your information, it is extremely
easy to use.
