Yvonne, I'm not sure if there are external programs that do this but back prior to retiring, I used Outlook at the office on an exchange server and an option under tools or actions was the out of office assistant. You could customize your message and control how it was sent out. I just looked on my home version of outlook and don't see that option. Another thing you may want to check out is many groups that I'm currently part of greatly frown on auto responders and some have this as grounds to be excluded from the list. Hope this helps.
