I think it's okay. Windows 7 is cool. Of course it seems to have its own
quirks as a new operating system, but in my opinion, I find it more
accessible when we get to Windows Explorer. You can now only use the
right arrow key to move to detail columns like size, file type and date
-- features which you couldn't get on earlier Windows versions. Also,
you can now quickly retrieve information by just typing in the Search
box on the menu. This search box does an instant retrieval of matching
phrases: so you don't need to press the Enter key to see the results.
Just type in a few letters: then use the Upf or Down arrow keys to see
the matching programs, files or documents. Personally, I find it a big
improvement over other versions.
Of course, we have our own problems with it such as occasional hang ups,
but this is caused by its indexing service, so you may just need to be
patient when you work with it. I understand some of these quirks will be
addressed in the soon to be released service pack 1 for Windows 7.
Otherwise, I think the netbook you stated is just suitable and you can
run your copy of JAWS on it. This is so considering that JAWS can run on
systems with 512MB RAM, so 1GB is okay. However, you can just get more
views on this subject: it's always best to hear more views.
Wish you the best in your purchase,
Ishe

RAM (at least 2048MB will do), wireless support, memory card reader,
hard drive space, and of course a fast processor (at least 1,7GHZ).
I think it is just a matter of seeing that the processor and RAM would
help you with screen reader support and be a multitasking system. Most
netbooks come preloaded with Windows 7 nowadays, but you can also get
some with Windows Vista or XP. Vendors often state which operating
system is loaded.

hello
i pose these questions now.
suppose i decide to get one what would i be looking for in one of these.
for example Bluetooth is one a 3 in 1 card reader is another and a fast
processor would be another but what else would i expect one of these to
have to make it worth buying.
as much info as possible would make it easier for me to choose one.
thank you
