1. I don't know about the straight swap thing. 
2. You might have a problem installing windows 7 on this netbook, if the 
previous post is correct, the maximum ram is 1 gig. Windows 7 needs more than 
that. 
3. The suggestion about a thinkpad, one of the great benefits of these netbooks 
is long battery life. The thinkpad may only give you half or less the battery 
life of the netbook. Also, most of these netbooks have a 1 year warrantee you 
might want to ask about. 
4. Jaws 10 or 11 will work just fine. 
5. Windows XP is ideal for these netbooks as WXP is light weight and very 
responsive. If you do not intend to do anything that demands lots from you, and 
these netbooks are not intended for this, you will be just fine with WXP.
