Hmm, PHP is just a language. So Jaws is only compatible with whatever that language produces: and in our case it's a web page. PHP is just a web server scripting language, and if you mean whether it is accessible when working with it on a server, this actually depends with the server you are using. As far as I know, it is accessible on all Windows servers like the Apache and Microsoft IIS. If you can install modules on your server, it's as easy as poking around your config files to have PHP functional.

If you mean PHP accessible with JAWS with a development tool such as a text/HTML editor, this depends with the coding tool you are using. If you are doing it with a plain text editor like Notepad, sure you can't have problems with it.

You can also use PHP as a web interface (like a Content Management System or a guestbook): those scripts developed by others which can help you quickly put up a site. The accessibility of most of these scripts found at places like Hotscripts or PHPScript Index are fairly easy to use. If JAWS can work with a web browser of your choice, certainly these scripts won't be a problem to tinker to your taste. You should only worry about transferring the files to your server by FTP program.

Anyway, you can get more assistance around programming topics by subscribing to the Blind Programming mailing list whose details are [email protected]

Cheers,

Ishe
