Why not try jarte. It's like wordpad but it has a spell checker and it's
pretty basic.

I have problems with both Word and the Word processor in Works.
Word is to complex and Works just doesn't display properly on my office
computer.
I turn out thousands of words a day at work, but the format is
very
simple and straight forward.
I need a package with a good spell checker and thesaurus, but little
more.
I am working with JAWS 11.
Any ideas?
