Yes, but these applications take a long time to open.
I also believe the spell check is borrowed from Word, so if no Word then no
spell-check.

Jamal Mazrui has written two very good editors for us.

I use both TextPal and EdSharp almost every day.

Both offer spell check and a thesaurus, plus many more bells and whistles
for us blind guys.

I use textPal for every thing from converting puff files to spell checking
my email messages.

Both are freeware and can be downloaded from:

Inthane's Grab Bag, blind programming assistance, and Jamal Mazrui
information and programs

Once on the page search for TextPal and EdSharp

I have problems with both Word and the Word processor in Works.
Word is to complex and Works just doesn't display properly on my office
computer.
I turn out thousands of words a day at work, but the format is very
simple and straight forward.
I need a package with a good spell checker and thesaurus, but little
more.
I am working with JAWS 11.
  Any ideas?
  Cheers Niamh
