Hi Mike and Barbara:

I did what you suggested and it worked! The up down setting has been adjusted to 75% and when I went to the sacred site at FBC and Classical King FM in Seattle to listen to classic music, both sites sounded a lot beteter. The stereo is great and I can hear the music a lot better and the choral items are sounding a lot better. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Mike & Barbara In Arcadia" <[email protected]>

Hi Francis;

I think you have used all your options but, 1 thing you could try is to turn
the volume level on the up down slider down to around 75 or 80% and see if
that helps. You will have to turn the volume control on your speaker knob a
little more but, it might keep it from blowing you out of the chair.
Take care.
Mike

Subject: [Blind-Computing] Setting volume when listening to programs on
theInternet

The volume on my computer is set using the volume control on the control
on one of the speakers attached to the machine. However, when I want to
listen to BBC radio programs or perhaps sacred music from FDC radio, it is
necessary for me to increase the volume so that I can hear what is being
said on the BBC Radio or on FDC. If I use the volume control on the speaker
it is deafening.

Is there another type of setting to adjust the volume for listening to the
internet?

In the control panel I have set the up down setting to 100 per cent and
the left right speakers to 50 per cent. Any advice would be welcome.
