Ijemmer, does your computer make a bleep sound when u try to download edsetup? That's the information bar--press alt n, then enter to allow the download.
I use dev c++ from www.bloodshed.net though I believe the project is now considered dead, unfortunately. I don't know if u have the free or paid version from avast, it's never done that to me.
