Its been about 5 or 6 days of many suggestions provided to you, maybe its time to reformat and reinstall the operating system from scratch. If its someone else's computer then you will have lost nothing. On the other hand, if you want to read someone else's files then I understand why you are spending so many days trying to solve a problem that can be rectified in about an hour. To answer your specific question, its still possible there are multiple accounts and you have to select the correct one then enter the password. If there is only 1 account simply type the password and press the enter key. I'm still trying to get this Vista computer going and I finally obtained the password. When I type it in, though, I still can't seem to really get into the computer. Is there a keystroke I should use before I put in the password or does anyone have any other clues?
