Carlos,

It is not as simple as assigning a letter if your system
BIOS is not recognizing the drive. Is it possible whoever
put it in accidentally unplugged the CD Rom? I would check
that first. If you need to start poking around in the BIOS
you will need sighted assistance

Al

Subject: [Blind-Computing] Need help getting my CD rom back?

Listers,

I had another hard drive installed yesterday and now I have
two hard drives
but my Cd rom drive icon or letter, is gone. How do I get
it back or
create another one? The local C drive is there, the new
drive which is the
E drive is there, the D drive or partition which is for the
computer's
protection tools that came with the unit, and my printer
card reader which
is the F drive. Know G drive for the CD rom. Even when I
put a CD in the
CD rom drive, nothing happens. Please, how is this fixed?

Please help!

Thanks to all!

carliss
