Hi Niamh; Try pressing Insert / Jaws key + Spacebar, this keystroke togggles the homerow utility mode on & off. You want it to be off. See if this helps with your file menus showing up. I'm still playing around with the unread thing. Hope this helps, with the file menus anyway! Take care. Mike
