Hello:
When checking the task manager and reading down the list of processes that are running if you don't know what they are but would like to end them how do you find out what the actual process is? I suppose I can google every single process and go from there but I'm sure there is a site i could go to and type in the process name and find out what it is as oppose to the google route? I have been hearing that your cpu usage should be at a low number and I believe with me having 84 processes running that might be the reason why the number is so high at times. The lowest I have seen has been 59% and as of right now its at 74%. I am using a windows 7 64 bit professional hp laptop and here is information about my system if anyone wants to know processor info. Manufacturer: Hewlett-Packard Model: HP Pavilion dv6 Notebook PC Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU P8700 @ 2.53GHz 2.53 GHz Installed memory (RAM): 8.00 GB System type: 64-bit Operating system. I was tempted to go into msconfig and look at the services tab and the start up tab but I am not trying to stop something that shouldn't be stopped and potentially ruin what I have. If anyone can help that would be great. Good sunday to all!
