Heheh..I guess it's either that or you got a nasty piece of malware pretending to be avast. :P

Joking aside though, how does the programme work with your screenreader? I just trashed AVG because I was sick of not being able to control it. Got Avira going on here now...seems decent; I didn't like the interface at first but now I see it's pretty sensible and very, very simple.

But I'm still not sure about it really. I'll probably end up paying for the AV software I really like in the end...

Hi all this question is for any one using Avast 6.0
I was using avast 5.0 and all of a sudden I looked at the Main screen of the avast program and it said I was using avast 6.0 a while back I remember a screen saying I had successfully installed avast 6.0 in one of the program updates but I was under the impression that when the web site switched from 5.0 to 6.0 you had to go to the web site and down load it. so my question does the free eddition of avast automatically switch from avast 5.0 to 6.0in a program update?
because mine did.
hope there is someone out their who can tell me.
