Cliff, I don't think that was what Yvonne was asking, I think she wants to
know how to set the option so that the deleted items folder is emptied when she exits Outlook Express. I'm using w7, so don't have o.e. to check how to
do this.
Cheers
Alex

Hello, Yvonne:

To empty your "deleted" folder, your best bet is to use the command control
A, select all, and hit delete.

If you go to "internet options", you should find the option for advising you

as to how many unread messages you have.

You have to tab over to your list of folders, with "in box" being your
target folder.

It will, then, give you a message such as:

"In Box, 39 unread".

Hope this helps.

hello
I can not find in options the bit where jaws says delete from deleted
folder on exit from outlook express
does this check box exist?
if so could someone tell me where to find it?

and I cant get outlook express to tell me how many unread messages are in

my message rules folder or my inbox
is it possible to set outlook express to notify me of how many unread
messages are in each folder?

thank you

Yvonne
