[Blind-Computing] using Firefox

Hi all,
I am just new at using firefox and I would like to know when you want to use 
the program should you always use it in safe mode ?
or can you use it in the regular mode and still be protected?
I guess what I am really trying to say is there is two things listed in the sub 
menue on the start menue Firefox and Firefox safe mode.
which one of the two should I always use?
