When you get the message do you click on the balloon and then see what the button says? Are you sure it is asking you to scan rather than update?

I wanted to monitor this before I posted a question. I run a full scan at least once a week and update it every so often. My question is how come it keeps saying system potentially unprotected every three days? It appears I find myself doing a full scan every three days or a quick scan daily.
