You should use your Jaws cursor, or equivalent to read the static text when you open the program. To do this, do the standard system tray command of insert+F11, if using Jaws, or go to your system tray. Once there, arrow to that error or line, then tab to the left double click button and press your spacebar. Once the program interface pops up, use your Jaws cursor or equivalent, if using another screen reader, and arrow up or down to read the static text. Hope this helps.
